The Protrip Journey
Protrip was born from a passion for exploration, adventure, and the belief that travel should be seamless and transformative. Founders Patricio and Allan first met while rock climbing in Cajón del Maipo, where they quickly discovered a shared enthusiasm for travel and the outdoors.
Patricio had already launched Protrip as a specialized tour operator, while Allan was building a career in electromobility. As Protrip grew, Patricio invited Allan to join the company, and together they set out on a journey to refine luxury travel in Chile.
They began traveling through Europe to broaden their perspective and gain a deeper understanding of what high-end travel agencies truly need—a DMC capable of handling every aspect of the journey, anticipating their clients’ needs before they arise, and delivering personalized, immersive experiences with seamless execution. More than that, they envisioned a reliable and efficient partner—one that agencies could trust to take care of every detail. Inspired by this, they returned to Chile and spent the following year traveling across the country, refining every logistical detail, selecting the best providers, and curating experiences that meet the highest international standards.

Patricio Von Mühlenbrock – Co-Founder & Managing Director
Patricio’s expertise in luxury travel is rooted in firsthand experience. A professional mountain and cultural guide for over five years, he has personally explored every corner of Chile, from the Atacama Desert to the fjords of Patagonia, uncovering its most hidden gems. His background in expedition and ecotourism management allows him to design journeys that are both deeply immersive and perfectly executed.
His passion lies in curating travel experiences that go beyond expectations, blending adventure with comfort and ensuring every trip reflects the extraordinary diversity of Chile. With his extensive knowledge and meticulous approach, he guarantees that every itinerary is crafted with precision, offering travelers a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
Allan Guiloff – Co-Founder & Operations Manager
Allan’s transition from engineering to the world of high-end travel was driven by a deep appreciation for logistics, service excellence, and the transformative power of travel. After building a successful career in electromobility, he chose to pursue his true passion: optimizing travel operations and redefining what seamless execution looks like in the world of boutique DMCs.
Having traveled extensively through the Americas and Europe, Allan developed a keen eye for quality and a high standard for evaluating and designing travel experiences.
